In order to promote scientific research, CIP is putting forward its own definition of open access, which entails a great deal more than “infinite readership,” as open access is commonly described.
Open access to readers
The full text of all CIP publications is freely available to anyone, online.
Open access to authors
In contrast to other open-access publishing companies that charge more than a thousand dollars, CIP charges affordable price per accepted manuscript. In CIP’s view, high publication fees prevent authors from sharing their findings with readers worldwide. In other words, a high publication fee stunts truly open access to research.
Open access to editorial board members and peer reviewers
CIP encourages all scientists to join this platform, from which they have complete authority to determine the standards of acceptance for manuscripts. CIP does NOT participate in the peer-review process, nor does CIP publish any manuscript without the permission of the voluntary editorial board members. CIP does not require editorial board members to solicit papers.
Open access to scholars who wish to launch new academic journals
Scholars in the field have superior knowledge as to what types of journals are needed. On the CIP platform, scholars can recommend themselves as Editors-in-Chief, can create new journals, name them, define their aims and scope, manage the editorial board members, and determine quality standards for the acceptance of manuscripts.
